Krill Family Vineyards Pellet Estate Henry's Reserve Pellet Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2017, Napa Valley, California

It's time for my
#FridayCabernetfix. Here is a gorgeous one from Napa Valley.

Inky in color with a very short reddish rim.

Fruity nose of blackberries, blueberries, black currants, black plums, vanilla, earth, spices, cedar, cola, cooked cherries, chocolates, light barnyard, dark coffee, tobacco leaf, light herbs and black pepper. A very nice nose.

Full bodied, smooth and elegant, with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, sweet cherries, cedar, leather, vanilla, licorice, spices, dark chocolates, tobacco, coke, light herbs, earth, pencil lead, coffee and peppercorn.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Soft and smooth. Rich and tangy.

This Single Vineyard is nicely balanced with a great mouthfeel.
A great sipping wine that doesn't need anything but a glass.

Better after two and a half hours in a decanter, but good right out of the bottle as well. Will pair nicely with a big piece of steak.

Still young and would be better in the next 5 to 10 years. Has good potential to become a 95+ wine.
I just love these Napa Bordeaux blends.

I paired it with Brie cheese and dried meats.

A blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Merlot. A very tiny production of only one barrel. How lucky am I?

14.5% alcohol by volume.

93 points.

$150.
