Gamay Noir Zweigelt

Typical big berries and peppers. For some reason, Nick Noltes' mug shot kept coming to mind.

Very tasty! I love my gamay though so I guess I am biased.

Nose opens up with some summer berries. This follows through with some blackberry on the palate followed by sour cherry. A little tannic. The short finish makes you immediately go for another sip. Was great with Hungarian goulash.

Definite fruit and peppery notes here. Not as much depth as I would like and a little too tangy for my tastes. Seemed better the second night, after aerating for a bit. Not bad. Great label, though, because: flying squirrel!

I don't usually go for ontario Reds, but this is pretty good. 👍

One of my absolute favourite wines, I highly recommend it. Goes well with cheese or hummus and pita bread

Nice but doesn't have that oaky character that I enjoy. It has a bit to much of a bite when I first taste it

For those that didn't like this wine, you must aerate and give sufficient breathing time. Then it is lovely.
