Friday night and the wine of the evening is the 2018 Glover Family Vineyard Zephyr Pinot Noir. This is from Marlborough New Zealand.
On the nose there is chrrry, raspberry, cranberry, clove, spice, herbs, rose petals, faint oakand earth.
On the palate is juicy red fruit, cherry, raspberry, strawberry, clove, mushroom and a nice earthy feel.
This wine is medium bodied that has good tension and a smooth mouthfeel, medium + acidity and medium to medium + fine tannins which leaves you with a long fresh red fruit finish. Have a great weekend and please be safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 6 days ago
Dark crimson in colour. Red florals with earthy beetroot notes on a medium bodied palate with medium plus intensity. Still quite stern tannins but overall starting to break the confines of over extraction finally at 12 years of age. This is my last bottle and the best of 6 originally bought. Previous notes have said that this is a Shiraz drinkers Pinot and I still stick with that assessment. I believe Dry River are now making their Pinots less extracted and more approachable at a younger age. In summary this is excellent, it just needed time. — 6 days ago
Amazing. Such a concentrated fruit completely balanced by the acidity that is just right, not puckering not sour just balancing the fruit and then there are lovely hints of vainilla and cream in the chorus. Love it. #chardonnay #newzealand #martinborough — 7 days ago

family meal blockbuster.
this is entry level, I'd love to taste the pricier oaked ver. — 6 days ago
Another fabulous SB from the NZ!! I really love this one! The flavor lingers on your palate! It has just the right level of acidity and a nice mineral flavor. Of course the typical tropical fruit flavor that we adore and expect from Marlborough is chillin’ in this Dashwood! Drink and enjoy! This is a wine that everyone will love! — 6 days ago
Nose: raspberry, cherry, light cedar
Palate: ripe raspberry and cherries, light oak / wood / cedar
High alcohol, medium acidity, low tannins
Well balanced, nice complexity, intensity good for the grape variety, length good fit the vintage.
Need to get a case. Would love to try another in a few years. — a day ago
