Tried the 2014 new vintage in past a spectacular wine, then tried the single vineyard C H tonight, WOW! To finisher after watching US Open Tennis opening night from NY . We settled on a vintage older 2012 Russian River Chard. My first words would be very creamy. Great mouthfeel with just a touch of caramelization. It has lost what I think would be its acidity and touch of oak. I feel in its youth this would be a 95-97 pt wine But now a 91 strong pointer. Bravo from these Awesome producers. CB

Can't say enough about this wine. Clear and clean aromas of stone and tropical fruits, with some sweet spicy notes. The palate shows mango, peach and pineapple and some minerality. This wine sat over 12 months oak and showing a finish with some toasty tones and complex spice from the oak. The wine was well balanced with lively acidity adding weight and richness to the lingering finish. Outstanding value.

RR all the way. Well made, balanced with fun complexity. Delicious. It has a few years at least before it really hits its stride. Powerful but not overwhelming.

Rich and tropical with an almost candied element to the profile. Well done, though not my cup of tea.

2020. The Pierson Meyer Sonoma Chardonnays I’ve loved have all had several years of age on them, so this recent release has a little different balance of oak, fruit, and acidity. The more of everything currently showing this wine probably helped it pair well with a curried squash soup.

2011. Floral and vanilla on the nose. Rich and creamy, but with enough acidity to balance perfectly. Mouth filling orchard fruits. Long finish. I hope I can keep enough in our glasses until the roast chicken is finished cooking…
