Surprisingly astringent, with a long, lingering dry, almost bitter flavor, with notes of tar, plums, and red fruit bitterness. Might have been good paired with food, but on a hot day on its own, not ideal.

Jul 1st, 2021Funky and rustic, particularly on the nose, but the fruit kicks in nicely on the palate w some smoked meat notes. Fun wine for around $15--would be a really good w sausage pizza or pasta w meat sauce--Or possibly tacos Barbacoa.
