A nice Merlot based Bordeaux Blend from Long Island.

Showing black and red fruits with earth, chocolates, tobacco, spices, wet leaves, wood, mocha and peppercorn.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.

Medium finish with grippy tannins and tangy raspberries.

Drinkable now with nice complexity, but still a little harsh on the ending. Could use another 3 to 7 years of bottle time.

A blend of 50% Merlot, 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot.

13.5% alcohol by volume

87 Points.

$50.

Very good Bordeaux style red blend. Cassis flavor with some earthy taste. Dry finish.

Structured and earthy, this Bdx-blend (50M 37CS 10CF 3PV) has chalky tannines and a medium-plus body. Dark fruit and cigars, I imagine this will be more open and balanced in 2 or 3 years time. I actually like the Pessac-feel of this Assemblage, but was more impressed by the Grand Vintage Merlot.

You won't mistake it as a Bordeaux blend from California, but it is a good solid wine and shows well at the dinner table -13.9% alcohol. I am a fan.

Bright cherry fruit, good acidity. Lacking complexity but a good food wine.
