Dec 28th, 2012This Valdiguié (called Gros Auxerrois in Languedoc-Roussillon) from Sonoma comes across as a fruity Gamay or even a light-weight New World Cabernet Franc. Strawberries, lilac and menthol emanate from a light ruby red. Generous body with some rough tannins and acidity keep the finish interesting.
