Today's issue of "things no one drinks enough of". Broad, textured, bitter, oily, cheesy, stony, meaty, herbal, and totally fucking delicious. Just a kiss of botrytis. Total fire with charcuterie. 65 bucks on a midtown manhattan list!

2007 Paul Kubler Alsace Grand Cru Zinnkoepflé Pinot Gris. From a warm climat in Alsace. Marzipan, toast, turrones de yema, duck confit flakes. I had this with fish korma and basmati rice from Diwan Al-Kaas, an Indian take-out place on Nassau Street in NYC's Financial District. Delicious comfort food pairing.
