Sep 21st, 2014Second time around for this bottle after tapping it with the coravin. Much better this time. Wonder if it needs more bottle age.

Jan 26th, 2016A solid wine from one of my favorite Napa producers. A big wine that benefited from decanting. It was tasted against an Oakville powerhouse, also a 2006, and the Paul Hobbs was the clear winner. Smooth and refined despite the initial rush of tannins. Currant and berry flavors with a hint of minerality. The nearly 10 years in the bottle plus decanting served this wine well.

Jan 18th, 20152006 - was nearer its end, and definitely past its peak, not nearly as satisfying as the 2010 year of the same wine
