This is drinking so much better then this time last year. Very nice bottle. On to the 16’s.

This is a beautiful example of a California Chardonnay unafraid to be inspired by Burgundy. There is a Puligny-like hint of smoke and flint and a Russian River core of lively lemony fruit. Terrific balance and enough oak for structure without taking over the palate. Elegance in a bottle

I had to change my score, given more time in the glass, the wine becomes complex with multiple layers, this combined wit the subtlety of delicate white fruit makes it wonderful.

13' Paul Hobbs Ellen Lane Estate Chardonnay. This wine is even better than it was last year. The color is a little darker & the wine has come together nicely. The fruit has come forward in the wine. The oak is a lot more restrained. An abundance of tropical fruits. With a drop of honey. Nice balance. Edit- Damn this is good!

Rich and opulent, still great acid to keep it lifted and clean. Really quite beautiful.

Lovely dark gold color. Needed about 20 minutes to open up. Would have benefited from a decant. Super rich, deep Chard. Really good and a lot of life left!

Good depth. Solid oak. More apple and stone fruit in this one. Little ox too as it was a deeper golden color.
