Oh baby.. this is a wine. Fantastic to finally open this after years of bugging my brother to do it. The nose was wildly exotic and perfumed, with cassis, black licorice, spice box, and currant.. silky smooth on the palate, rich red fruit, blackberry, touch of oak and vanilla. Finish with more spice box that lingers forever.. a great experience indeed!

Okay, a 20-year-old CA cab from a “lesser” vintage, this is absolutely terrific. Not going to last much longer, this wine still has plenty of fruit, great balance, and enough secondary flavors to allow it to evolve on the palate. Totally underrated wine from Paul Hobbs!
