Loads of chalky, earthy minerals mix with straw- inflected pear and apple fruit. Rich and deep, with very good acids for a Macon. Not super complex but doesn't cheat on character. Excellent value.

Sep 3rd, 2017Great, minerally bright nose. Stones, fresh hay, pears and apples. Very intensely flavored, very minerally and pure. A tad more acid and this would be amazing. But as is it's very good.

Made to go with hasselback potatoes and it worked especially when potatoes got spritzed with lemon which is to say this is rich and mineral, tropical yet maritime. Is this Chardonnay an ocean? It contains multitudes. Not saying it’s my favorite just that it is interesting and complex and worthy of attention.
