Nice presentation visually and on the nose. Bright notes of cola and redcurrants waft up from the glass. On the palette, the wine is lithe and smooth, consistent with the nose, with a whisper of spices. Surprisingly, tannins are already fully integrated. As a result, we feel it is missing layers and complexity. Good stuff all the same!

Exceptional ... a complex cornucopia of fruit that opened up dramatically over an hour as it was paired with Humboldt Fog cheese. Not at all heavy, as the acidity kept it smooth and balanced. Reminiscent of a fine Musigny!
