A challenging vintage as shown by how uncharacteristic this wine is. While the purity and acidic tension are all there, the 2021 lacks the weight of past vintages and displays a noticeable green pyrazine character. There are elements of this wine that read more Sauvignon Blanc than Chardonnay. Great minerality, but it will be interesting to see if this has enough fruit to hold up in the cellar.

Smells and starts great. But, this just does not have the depth and body I was hoping for, and so the overall impression is slightly thin and perhaps even a bit green. Not bad per se but just not quite what I look for in good Chablis.
