A bit golden for a 2012. Ripe and oak on nose.

Let them sleep. I was spoiled on the '10s, but these need some more time to develop their savory side. Quite good. The power is there, but just not exceptional at the moment. I don't think it's ultimately a vintage with an overage of brawn.

I need to start using this app way more. 12 Montee from Piuze. So young. Still solid. Feel terrible popping this before it's time.

Textbook 1er. Really happy with this. Deeply mineral. The citrus element is very subtle, almost a grapefruit type of aroma. No tropical notes that I’ve seen in his 2010 or 2013. I’m guessing he kind of got his winemaking shit together in 2012. I remember the wines making less of an impression on release, which I can now see was a good thing. Cheers to learning!
