This wine has a nice array of succulent and vibrant pomaceous and stonefruit with an even more impressive nose of cherry and apple blossoms. Marzipan, chalk, and perhaps a slight botrytis note balance the rest of the nose and palate. Impressed by the rather overt character upfront and how easily it glides across the palate with the brisk acidity here. Seriously punching above its weight and seriously regretting only buying 1 bottle.

Clean, precise, tart green apple with nice minerality. High acidity, light-medium body, with good depth. Classic example.

I thought it was just okay. A little too much green apple. I expect some but not quite such tartness in Chablis.

“Just because” type of night. Blessed to dine with my life partner while trying something new...and we actually really like this vino. Need to add to the home stock. Oh yeah, I’m Bragg’s on the beauty of my wifey today...why she look like she glowing and without make-up. Beautiful beyond words. And oh yeah, to me the wine is crisp, lightly buttery but still slightly sweet (just enough), smells & tastes of pear & crisp apple.

The very first vintage Piuze has bottled, from Les Pargues vineyard site. Treated like 1er or grand cru level, vinified and aged in neutral oak.
