Vintage 2015. Young perhaps. Shy smell. The quality of this Malbec and Cabernet Franc blend is its velvety lovely taste. Give it a journey in the decanter to enjoy its qualities. / Paired with lentils spaghetti.

Weird, and crazy! A blend of mostly Malbec with 45% Cabernet Franc, the grapes are harvested from various plots throughout Gualtallary and are fermented in concrete vats. The interesting part is that the plots are harvested at different times, around 40 days for all, and grapes are added to the preexisting fermentation as they start coming in, in other words the fermentation starts and stops as more grapes are added. The aromas just suck you inwards into the glass revealing a plethora of dark and bluefruits that seem to act like deep bass notes that rumble, followed by an intense anise like note that evokes green Chartreuse, dried laurel leaf, violets, stone dust, and a nice peppery finish. More mineral than fruit on the palate, with the pronounced saline mineral notes of Gualtallary intermixing with fresh cool dark fruits.

Dark berries on the nose, a hint of oak, high acidity on the palate with more dark berries and some stalkiness
