Dragon watershed label? Kinda cool critter label concept. Dark color. Smells like fruit soup. Jams and syrups from red, black and purple fruits. Flavors are classic CA red wine meets oak. Fruit drenched, toffee and vanilla yuck.

Nose: plum, varnish, a distinct herb I can’t identify (I really need one of those smell kits). Taste: not bad - not very heavy but nice tongue drying tannins - tobacco - licorice and and mulberry. A lot of oak came out with air. Cheap oaky California wine. 86. Fine for $8.

Not really memorable… but easy to drink.

Just okay while sipping. Has a feel to it that might be tannins or a dusty sharpness? For the price ($7.99 or so from TJ) I’d rather a Mouton Cadet or bulls blood. Might be better with the right vintage

Rich and velvety, a little on the sweet side but not too much.

Dragons always get my attention, but the wine is enjoyable- not complex, but big, buying, some red fruit, the tiniest hint of smoke. (Or is the label that gives me the hint?) At the price, would definitely get again with enthusiasm.

Bought on sale at Trader Joe’s. A little on the cheaper end but very good for the price.
