A very fine Bourgogne Rouge from Mr. Pascal Clement in a good healthy conditions, the wine sure needs at least one year from release to come into place. Easy drinker with fresh berry aromas reaching to its provenance with a portion of sous Bois, a nice development on both the nose and palate. More than one can expect from a Bourgogne Rouge.

I like this wine. It sits in a good place. Generous aromatics of cherry and spruce and new black leather. And dignity too - nothing sloppy, a little bit of tug in the mouth - minerals, crushed gravel, tannin, and restrained red fruit.

Perhaps a bit dominant acidity, which the slight weak mid palate is not carrying throughout the taste. Yet its very hard to stop drinking this frisky wine.
