Fully expected this to be a Blanc de Noirs or Rosé style sparkling wine, was stunned that it was red method champagne. Very unique and very very good. It's sweet savory and bright and well balanced by flexible tannins (which is so unusual to say for a sparkling wine). Has the familiar shiraz herbal berry spice notes and the bubbles add an extra lift. SeemsWon't replace most sparkling wine for me but this will be great to pull out every now and then.

Aug 11th, 2016It is what it is. Tons of red fruit but some savory pepper and dark toasted oak too. Sugar and tannins balance well enough. Great with the chocolate cake for dessert.

Jun 7th, 2015Soft nose of baked blackberries and raspberries, vanilla, nutmeg, and petals. Gushes with blueberries, currants, and cocktail cherries. Lacking a mid and back palate, peaking with fresh, ripe plum and wet basalt and quickly falling off in the back of the throat.
