Maybe it's because I just tasted another wine that was pretty good that made this one not really stand out from the crowd. It's ok but not nearly as flavorful as others. A little flat for my taste.

Cooked bramble fruit, slightly spicy aroma, bitter chocolate, coffee on the palate, touch of black pepper; nice tension and a long softly tannic finish. Very good QPR #petitesirah on sale at Costco for $7.

Deep purple hue, enticing bouquet, smooth but not flabby. Hints of blackberry jam, cassis. Soft tannins on the finish. Solid value at $9.
