Pardon & Fils
Beaujolais Nouveau Gamay
Medium purple in color; jolly ranchers, violets, and bananas on the nose; medium acidity; low tannins; tastes like pomegranates, tart cranberries, and clay pots with a medium finish. Has a bitter flavor that detracts from the wine. Not bad, but it smells much better than it tastes. I think it's ok. Nellie doesn't Iike it.

Pretty firm tannins for a Nouveau; I actually had to run this through an aerator. All in all, a solid and quite drinkable Beaujolais Nouveau that deserves a place on the Thanksgiving table. A “grandmother wine” that even serious wineaux can enjoy with friends and family.
