This Merlot/PV combo is SINGING. Round throughout, medium++ bodied wine. Still has a lot of sweet black cherry cola and blackberry notes throughout. But also has a floral nature on the nose and entry while also seeming to have a little bit of a darker side that permeates towards the finish with an herbal character. A surprising amount of pepper on the finish with tannins that have definitely softened over the years. I think this wine is really ready to drink right now as a pop and pour. I did not decant this one, and I don't think I missed anything by not doing so. One more bottle left. I'm sure it will be opened sooner than later given how this one presented! Will try to look for more as well as I feel this one could go another 7 to 10 years without a doubt!
