Brighter than most other Paradigm merlots. Strawberry, candied cherry, and some dark berries with some herbal hints on the aromas. Medium plus body but very bright acids. Cherry and woody notes on the finish.

Deep ruby red with a strong, fruity nose. Aromas of black cherries, strawberries, and vanilla initially. Thereā€™s some oak and tobacco on the nose, as well, that gives it a slightly rustic character. This is not necessarily the kind of Merlot that ā€œdrinks like a Cabā€ like weā€™ve all gotten used to. Itā€™s decidedly smooth and medium bodied with very fine tannins. On the palate, thereā€™s a ton of stewed plums, bright strawberries, blackberries, and smooth caramel. More toasted oak, cocoa powder, and vanilla finishes things off. Exquisitely crafted, silky, and rather interesting. Iā€™m loving Merlot again.
