Drank in 2016, aged into a very mellow Zinfandel. Delicately tart and delightfully dry, but doesn't overreach. Complex fruit flavors stay central on the tongue.

A little harsh on the nose. Smooth on the tongue with a light dry finish. A good wine, but not for me.

A dark garnet, the '08 Papapietro Perry Zinfandel 'Elsbree Vineyard' is a lighter style Zin that is more fruity than spicy. A sweet, somewhat syrupy, mouthfeel with cherry-coke and red raspberry-rhubarb compote flavors. Low acid levels contribute to a flabby finish with just a smidgen of spice.
