Lots of tannins still. Needed a while to open up more earth and leather than fruit but once it opened up it was more balanced.

Initially tight and closed in but an hour of air it exploded into a luscious fruit forward but delicate classic Barolo. Absolutely exquisite.

Was beautiful at open but couldn't keep up with the Clerico or the Sandrone. Typical nose, impressively knit together. You can taste the age, tinge of pruni-ness that adds not detracts. Drink up.
