Thanks to Andrew for turning me onto this winemaker. A great selection at 30 euros in the wine list. Not too stinky for such a natural wine. Moderate tannins, present fruit and moderate acidity.Deep ruby color. This could probably age more, but it Is a pleasure to drink now. Only 65% sagrantino.

Paulo Bea treats me right. Lots of fruit and spice. Concentrated without being over-extracted.

2008. It’s clear that my first few awesome experiences with Bea got in my head that these are special occasion wines that I need to save (they are - I just need to make more special occasions sooner!). It appears that I am about 5+ years late on opening this vintage compared to other Delectable users. This wine is definitely not DOA like the Pipparello I opened last week. It has acidity and tannins and after an hour, the sweet dried fruit flavors are getting livelier...
