Bright sunshine color with a steady bead. Sexy, nicely perfumed bouquet of stone and citrus fruits with floral and brioche notes. On the palate flavors of ripe apple and peach with gentle strawberry notes along with a floral overtone and slow-building spices adding interest. A good bite when hit with air, long finish with honey and nutty notes on the ending. Well balanced. Pricey but good!

Should have decanted it, of course. Too much oak hiding the fruit. Some lemon and exotic sweets came out at the end. Mostly like sweet sherry, though.

2002 is the year to beat this century! Rampant miniscule bubbles in a hay gold wine. Almond croissant and stewed pear on the nose. Starts piquant with an alkali touch, moves into a nutty and dark treacol mid, ending with buttery brioche and a whiskey-lemon laced touch of acid. I. Love. 2002.
