Smokey and gamey on the nose this is still a super fruit forward wine but I fear may be near peaking so drink up soon. Abundant dark fruit on the palate and a hint of mint on the finish. Very nice. From a vineyard known for making the most incredible Merlot, this is a good yet interesting release.

Sep 5th, 2017Most know Paloma for their Merlot but they also make a delicious Cabernet and used to make this Syrah. This is super inky in color with the slightest hint of game on the nose but predominantly fruit. This is total California - fruit-forward with blackberry and blueberry flavors dominating. None of the savory notes typical of Syrah are to be found here! Very smooth and jammy but quite delicious. I'm sad that they don't make this anymore as sometimes you just want a fruit bomb - not ashamed to say I really like this!

Ripe, but aging well. Nice texture and epitome of pushing the napa envelope as far as cellar tricks are concerned.

This is finally ready! Dark garnet. Smooth tannins. Peppery with taste of dark fruit. Very nice.
