The first new world nebbiolo I've had with secondary and perhaps tertiary characteristics. It isn't trying to be Italian either. It's its own beautiful wine.

Exceptional. Not gonna try to get into how the earth was smooth yet berry-filled. Like if you could make a juice of puréed mud, silk and blueberries, which should be disgusting. But is the opposite: The Best. Tasted at Republique in LA.

Massively tannic.. This wine needs at least 10-years in the cellar to soften, and it already spent 5-years in barrel. Yes, 5-years.. Interesting wine, but already showing a bit of a porty characteristic. From the extended barrel aging I'd assume.

Leather rose petals and raspberry jam with a hint of smoke.
