This is a riper, more evolved version of the 2015 I opened also, lacks the great acid and litheness of the 2015, but also a fine bottle!!

Mineral, peach and lime aromas and flavors, very youthful, crisp and refreshing, nice acid balance, medium-long finish, very nice!

Needs time to open and breathe but once it has, you pick up on the subtle floral and sweet notes. Hints of citrus and minerality but it all works really well together for a dry finish. Opened in honor of my Mom on what would have been her 59th Birthday because this was one of our favorite wineries in Solvang 💗

I had heard of Cortese as an Italian variety, but always assumed it was a red grape not white. Only a few acres grown in CA. #ILearnedSomethingNewToday. Santa Barbara County Vintners Association Spring Festival.
