A seriously good wine and an even better value. Deep mahogany color with tar, sage, iron and dried fruits on the nose. The palate is focused and not fat. Really beautifully evolved

In a great place. Definitely a touch amped up, but the nebbiolo comes through no question. Touch of secondary fruit starting to come through, lots of great acid, long finish, very nice.

Found this gem at a little wine shop in Florence full of 40-50 yr old wine. It was hot and muggy, dusty and full of light. Didn’t have high hopes, but wow, just amazing. No nose but at 30-60min perfect acid and body. Drank like a 15yr old wine. Had lots of life still in it. Cork came out perfect with Ah-so. Was amazing with lamb chops. Wish I had more.

Bought for a Italian wine tasting a couple years ago, that I never went to. Few Italian wines in my background, but loved this. Ink dark, deep dried berry, moist dirt, tobacco, leather, and a hint of funk. With lamb chops dusted with fennel pollen. Very happy! 2007, ABV 14.5
