Italian Zinfandel. The colour is inky black and the nose is dark plum. Old enough that the tannins have smoothed out but it has that peppery taste you crave in a primativo. I get a burst of big jammy plum with pepper on the side. After the swallow the plum fades to a milder dark berry. Still deep and tasty with a hint of a sweeter note. Maybe red raspberry or red licorice
