This is a difficult red wine to appreciate straight after opening. It’s flat with exaggerated acidity. Give it a day after in the wine fridge and it blossoms significantly. Now there’s a subtle black currant aroma mixed with leather; I still taste robust acidity but it’s better integrated with soft tannins on a long finish. There are definitely more accessible and superior Spanish #tempranillo wines out there, but it’s a good bottle to sip over several days.
