Round four of blind tasting. Somehow, we all completely whiffed on this but in retrospect it was so obvious. Quintessential Nebbiolo. Pale ruby color heavily featuring raspberry, cranberry, and red cherry notes. Quite tart but all ripe. There’s a stemmy-like green component that really stands out too. New leather, tar, and a dash of balsamic complete the profile. Almost no tannins but rather high acidity. How we all missed this will remain a mystery.
