Serra Barbaresco Nebbiolo

Elegant Nebbiolo with great intensity. Extremely aromatic with huge floral and sweet spice components. Crunchy red fruits, blood orange and mint filling out the mid palate. Searing acidity and quite grippy tannins, definitely a mineral quality to the finish and overall mouthfeel. A serious Barbaresco for less than $30 is always high on my list.

Pesquero of Paitin never disappoints! Had this with Prime Rib - fabulous pairing. Very rich, aromatic wine. Herbal notes and dark fruit.

Spicy, dark fruit, tobacco. Big tannins

This is a nice Barbaresco. Lighter brick in the glass. Very aromatic, with good fruit. Mouth filling and relatively smooth - quite expressive in its youth. Good acid and a nice smooth long finish.

Fruity, rich, soft, warm, and ripe tannins within each glass. Long and persistent on the palate.

The 2012 comes from a warmer vintage than usual with a longer summer than usual. Elegant, fruity notes, and ripe tannins.
