Painted Wolf Wines
Guillermo Pinotage
Pale to Medium ruby. Lovely smoky aroma, cherry, coffee, caramel, roasted nuts, medium tannin, medium acidity. A bit chewy on the palate, medium body with tannin expanding on the palate, some buttery American oak. Good complexity and acidity for food.

Jan 16th, 2019Une belle claque, avec une structure étonnamment puissante pour ce que je connais et j'attends d'un pinotage habituellement !

Jul 28th, 2016Nice, oak, smoke followed by fruit nose. Has strong tannins. Needs air and time. But a very good wine. Cherries and berries in the mouth. Reads almost like a CabSav. I like it.

Oct 25th, 2020Really like this Pinotage. Ruby purple in color. It comes across rich and flavorful. Red berries with smoke and spice. Very smooth with a slight tannin bite, but balanced overall.

Aug 6th, 2018First Pinotage I ever had. It's light body and aromatic nature speaks of its heritage, but it's darker bolder fruits made the combination interesting. This wine had complexity and spoke well of its maker. I unfortunately need to try it again, I didn't take good notes and am logging this basically as a reminder.
