After two excellent tastings in Woodinville, WA this didn't measure up

Rust color on this one threw me during a blind, though is a result of aging. Smells of slightly jammy cherries and raspberries, with a touch of smoke/leather. Tannins are much lower than the nebbiolo I thought it was(mod-) with mod acidity and a decently lenghty aftertaste. That leathery flavor comes through on the pallatte with a pretty dark profile. Fruit is also moderate and overall flavor profile is more simple than expected. Nice to finally try a noir with some age.

Drink on day 2, much better. Needs time to breathe, decent light cab

Not bad but definitely a little time to open up would help

Opens after decant. Many better options at this price point.

Red fruit, strawberries, jolly rancher, some sweetness, drinks like a Pinot.

Solid

Decent, not great. Light body and dry finish.
