Howell Mountain Zinfandel

A big, fun wine.

Smooth with a hint of pepper.

Soft and sweet Zinfandel. The nose has dark berries black currant and a bit of cigar box. Great bottle for $39 bucks

Unabashedly Californian. But has a lot going on.

A great Howell Mtn Zin. Worth a try if your a Zin lover.

Chewy goodness. Rich, purple color. Bright berry fruit. Maybe a bit young yet. Enjoy or hold a year.

Waiting to taste

A nice prune meets dark chocolate meets blackberry finish.

This is my third bottle of this. Neither of the bottles I've had at home matched the one I had first in Napa but this was better than the second. Very big & structured so it's important to pair with appropriate food. At this stage this is more big claret than fruit forward. Give it a good decant.

2012 vintage poured in 2022. Maybe a bit passed its prime but still solid.
