Mar 23rd, 2018When considering price, I find it hard to compete with this wine. The new entrance of @Anthony Biagi ‘s Patria is around the only wine I think of. These are beautiful Napa Cabs. Beautiful. Floral. Rich. This one is still slightly tannic and pulls at the mouth but o can imagine it a few years from now approaching the 10s or other years that mellowed out. I could drink @Sean Capiaux ‘s wines every day.

Beautiful from start to finish. Even better as it opened. Paid $108 @ Cask Fine and Rare Wine in Katonah.

Had to try again...unctuous dark, rich, opulent, beautiful integration berries, ash, earth, extremely layered wine...oh Howell Mountain you taste so good!

2014 vintage. Brooding nose leads to massive mountain fruit and structure framed by that small % of Malbec with a touch of an obscure Bordeaux varietal- St. Macaire-for giggles. It doesn’t suck.

Amazing Howell Mountain fruit . Can’t get enough of this big inky Cab. Nice balance of tannin and acidity, with dark pit fruit & tobacco. Full bodied and savory. Just all around pleasant.
