This is a young wine but pretty. Sneakily drinkable.

Last of the Portuguese wines tasted with Dan and Filipa at there home.

Dark purplish ruby red. Powerful and dark nose on day one, with a mix of spices and sweet spices such as anise and vanilla. Bramble berries on the nose as well. Day two the nose softened quite a bit but gained a perfumey elegance to it. Medium tannins (6.5/10) and medium plus bodied. Tons of layers on the palate with a dark blue and black berry attack, herbs too and a nice spiciness. Dry and long finish. Drink till 2027.

Fresh nose with the richness of a big wine. Turns out to be fresher with medium body, medium acid and rich texture. Lees stirring taken a little to far. Would love some more brightness.

Those who love Cali cabs need to try these amazing Portuguese wines.
Big dark fruits, earth, and smoke .
No rush to drink as the tannins as still showing and this beauty will last another 5 to 10 yrs easily
