Uh oh - we've got refermentation going on here. Most likely ML, but there seems to be a decent amount of RS here from the initial alcoholic fermentation not finishing, so it could be that. Likely due to this, there is increased volatility. Which is too bad because the concentrated berry fruit flavors are quite nice underneath all of that.

Absolutely love it. Too bad it's a small batch.

Appearance: deep, purple coloured, clear.
Nose: high-intensity, youthful, with notes of green pepper, violet.
Taste: slightly effervescent, off-dry, medium-bodied, less acidity, low dry tannins with notes of red berries, green pepper, violet, and a medium finish.

Oi... little heat in the nose, but blows off to show off some ripe blackberries, dark plums, sea brine, and oak. Juicy blueberries and black currants greet the palate in a cocktail of creme de cassis, barely held up by medium tannins which show up midpalate. Not much else going on here--jammy and extracted. And I certainly set myself up expecting a Loire Cab Franc...
