Definitely a red meat kind of wine. For 07 still pucker up on those tannins. Delivers licorice like fruit to complement the smokiness.

Well done, Jason! Had a bunch of vino tonight, so the palate may not be as sharp as usual; Black Forest cake on the nose - did I say I was "fortunate" enough to share this wine with good friends?

Great structure, well balanced, nice dark fruits. Took about 3 hours to decant until tannins mellowed.
