Gabaxo Rioja Garnacha

The long awaited first taste of the new vintage didn’t disappoint. Gabaxo is personal and so very exciting. 2016 somewhat more refined compared to previous vintages. Most likely good thru 2025+

Modern Rioja i ren form. Ärlig frukt med varsam ek, snyggt och slankt.

One of my faves! Light yet flavorful.

Galant, glider ner utan problem. Bjuckar t.o.m. på lite fruktigt fizz. Småpartierna.

More of a New World style compared to the Heredia I had it with, but a very pretty wine. Would please wine geeks and wine novices alike.

24u na ontkurken, met een nachtje over wordt dit beter. Sterk kersen gedomineerd, wat minder strak, ontluikend restzoet. Ergo: nog paar jaar laten liggen of serieus decanteren. Leuk voor nu maar dit wordt zeker beter.

Surprising rioja, garnacha gives the "touch" to the tempranillo usual taste of rioja's wines, making this wine different, special and... tasteful!

Stewed strawberry, cinnamon, medium acidity.
