Blend of 76% Merlot and 24% Cabernet Sauvignon, deep far Ruby with aromas of dark red fruits, sweet spice and spice notes. On the palate flavors of black cherry, plum and currants with notes of cacao and salty spice. Grippy chalky tannins, long finish ending with ripe fruit character. Very nice! Wait a few years to enjoy.

Very lush! Very “new world” styling imo. Definitely needs to be decanted for a bit to open up.

It’s delicious and moderately priced. It could used a little more focus and structure but just drink it

12’ Northstar Merlot. Delicious raspberries, cranberries, fresh tobacco, a touch of red licorice, a bit of spice. The fruit flavors are lush & forward, with soft tannins & a finish that lingers. Bravo for the money!

82% Merlot, 16% Cabernet, 2% Petit Verdot. On the nose, ripe, ruby, perfumed, floral fruits of; blackberries, dark cherries & black plum. Notes of black licorice, pepper, spice, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and dry dark florals. The body is M and the tannins are M+. Palate core of black currants, pepper, heat lifting spices, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, dry, dark, florals, dry stones, crushed dry rocks, rich, dark, soils, violets, black licorice, good acidity, round, rich, finish that is good but needs some more time in bottle. Especially, to tone down the 14.7% alcohol that burns the back of my throat.

This is 75% Merlot, 23% Cabernet and 2% Petit Verdot. On the nose, ripe fruits of; blackberries, black cherries, black plum, plum & cherries. Loamy soils, vanilla, cinnamon, anise and dry dark florals. The body and M+ tannins are velvety, spices that rise off the palate with heated intensity, mocha, caramel, blackberries, black cherries, black plum, plum & cherries, pepper, dry crushed rocks, nice perfumed red florals with good acidity and a round lush finish that opens up quickly with a short time in the glass. Photos of their estate vines showing their loamy sandy soils, tasting room and German made stainless steel tanks that are programmed for push downs three times a day during fermentation. These German made tanks are well made and I'm sure cost a bloody fortune. German manufacturing is simply world best!

Really we'll paired with Roquefort. Not super inky, but more full body in a euro style wine, if that makes sense. I'd compare this with a well airated, in it's prime St. Emillion with a very mild spice effect. #Wawine - $25 / 92pts.

Excellent as always, this "Columbia Valley" - AKA Yakima - Merlot has rich mocha cherry flavors and a full bodied, fruit forward structure.
