Juicy black fruit leads the charge on the palate, cradled in moderate toast and lovely earthy-leathery undertones. Nose of violets, blackberries, tar, and beef fat. Ripe dark fruits on the palate with some olive and chocolate. Medium acidity and tannins that are pretty silky. Good oak integration.
Distinctly new world, but with restraint and skilled winemaking. Good stuff.
