Very unique nose of licorice and charcoal briquette. Oily palate with very fine tannin

Apr 29th, 2017Absolutely killer. Meaty, tart, olives, burnt mud and stank.

Jun 16th, 2020This was very funky and hard to drink on opening. 24 hrs later, it’s settled down and opened up. Cassis, struck match, fine tannin

Feb 25th, 2018A beautiful, lush wine. Fragrant with hints of violets. Tastes of lush red fruit with hints of tobacco and leather. A lovely mineral finish characteristic of the Rocks. Oh my! Yes, it will be even better in a few years, but it is already fantastic!

Dec 24th, 2016Insanely good! Black cherries, black berries, scorched earth, charred meats and black tar. Also some notes of dried violets. Soft tannins. Silky mouth feel. This wine will undoubtedly benefit from a little cellar time, but it's very approachable now with a serious decant. I'm a big fan of these wines and of Elizabeth Bourcier. If this note is in your wheelhouse, do yourself a favor and source a few. You won't regret it.

Jun 11th, 2016Young, but approachable with air. Would have guessed Cayuse blind, but maybe not Tempranillo. Great mouthfeel and very enjoyable.
