Clos du Roy Beaune 1er Cru Pinot Noir

Excellent but perhaps a touch too polished for my taste.

Like it but don't love it. The oak is integrated yet slightly inelegant, bringing a heavy sense. Nice stony dry finish though.

Amazing, so refined, one of the best Beaune I've ever had. Nothing to do with the 2012 I had recently, probably an off bottle

Too extracted, not a bad wine overhaul but not what I want in Burgundy and from Clos du Roi

Beautiful floral nose. Light high notes of flowers and red fruits, balanced by earth and mushrooms. Fine tannin. Laser sharp focus, all in perfect balance.
