Bright blueberry and strawberry on the nose, both of which diminished with time, giving way to sauteed mushrooms. White pepper, charred oak, and mushroom on the palate. There was a tad of residual sugar, that also blended away with the decant.

First of four bottles from cellar. Very flavorful from nose to finish. Interesting taste of liquorice in the finish.. a bit too much so need to see if that persists over the aging years. Overall a wonderful, expressive wine.
