I've been a sucker for New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc well before Cloudy Bay was bought by LVMH in 2003. The fresh cut grass, gooseberry, lime, melon, and exotic herbaceousness that pervades the finish never fails to satisfy the wineaux and the hedonist in me.

Hard to find, but this reasonably priced wine encapsulates most of what we love about a Sauvignon Blanc.

The savignon blanc here in NZ is so good. Immense passion fruit nose. Taste follows with passion fruit and peaches, anise, richly textured, nice minerality. Sub $20 US from the winery. I'm purposely spilling some all over my face while drinking it. Glarbalabargaglug.

Lovely, fragrant, exactly the quality I expect for a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Hard to do better at this pricepoint.

Very pale yellow glass with a green tinge. Passion fruit, grapefruit, green apple, and a hint of gooseberry and white peach tinged with lime on a medium nose . On a strong crisp acidic charge to the palate of grapefruit and grass with a lime undertone. Long finish of tart grapefruit and a lasting minerality. Very good value at $11.98 USD and works well with fish or as a sipper. Palate can't live up to the nose due to dominance of the minerality but still a very enjoyable glass.
